Dr Obiajulu Nnamuchi
Dr Obiajulu Nnamuchi is Associate Professor, Faculty of Law, University of Nigeria, Enugu with additional teaching responsibilities at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Institute of Public Health and on the Bioethics program at the University of Nigeria, Enugu. He received his primary Law degree (LL.B) from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Nigeria and obtained subsequent postgraduate qualifications from various universities as follows – LL.M (Notre Dame), LL.M. (Toronto), LL.M. (Lund), M.A.(Louisville) and S.J.D. (Loyola, Chicago).
Obiajulu trained formally as a Bioethicist at the University of Louisville Medical School. He is founder of the Center for Health, Bioethics and Human Rights (CHBHR) and director of the organisation’s Bioethics division. He has written extensively on global health, human rights issues, healthcare governance and sustainable healthcare financing. He is currently researching the public health implications of the law on tobacco control, communicable diseases and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
