Where does this course fit in?
The 2018 edition of the Healthcare Management Conference, is themed “Medicine, Accountability and Law”. The conference considers ethical and legal implications of aspects of medical practice in the context of Nigerian law. It examines the gatekeeper responsibility of the individual medical practitioner and explores regulatory levers necessary to maintain accountability and professional performance standards throughout the healthcare delivery sector. The programme discusses wider stakeholder responsibilities and proposes a medico-legal and regulatory framework to support consumer protection, enhanced patient safety standards and service quality excellence on behalf of the general public.
Who should attend?
The Medicine, Accountability & Law conference 2018 is organised and hosted by BeyHealth Consulting in collaboration with the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL). The conference considers ethical and legal implications of aspects of medical practice in the context of Nigerian law and is intended to sensitise stakeholders on pertinent medico-legal issues affecting the practice of medicine in Nigeria.The programme is relevant to the continuing professional development of medical doctors (of all specialties) and allied healthcare professionals, legal practitioners with an interest in medical negligence and malpractice, stakeholder practitioners in the corporate finance and insurance industry, hospital managers and healthcare administrators in private and public sector medical practice, statutory organisations with regulatory responsibility for the healthcare sector and authorised representatives of citizens advocacy groups.
